The Institute of Psychiatry at the FIBHGM has developed a prolific research activity in collaboration with national and international groups in the field of childhood and adolescent onset early onset psychosis, as well as in neuropsychopharmacology in neurodevelopmental disorders.

FIBHGM’s scientific activity has also been translated into clinical practice through several clinical trials and the development and publication of clinical practice guidelines for the management of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders and other conditions such as psychosis, depression, bipolar disorder, and autism spectrum disorder.

Role in the FAMILY project: Contribute data of offspring cohort of parents with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and collecting new parents’ data

Areas of expertise:

• Clinical evaluations,
• Follow up of clinical and high-risk cohorts (high retention rates)
• Acquisition and processing of neuroimaging and biological samples
