General overview: Harvard School of Public Health brings together dedicated experts from many disciplines to educate new generations of global health leaders and produce ideas that can transform the lives of people. The goal is not only making scientific breakthroughs, but also working to change individual habits, public policies, and health care practices.

Department: The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences has built an internationally recognized, critical mass of scholars engaged in the social determinants of health.

Lab: The population neuroscience group at Harvard Chan combines epidemiology, genetics, brain imaging, and child development to bridge historically separate disciplines. A primary goal is understanding the environmental influences, such as parenting, on brain development.

Role: Leading WP5 on the role of neuroimaging metrics in the intergenerational transmission of mental illness.
