Institute presentation and areas of expertise:

NIPH is a national competence institution under the Ministry of Health and Care Services. Its mission is to produce, summarise and disseminate knowledge to support good public health efforts and healthcare services. NIPH conducts the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study (MoBa) and houses many national health registries.

The Center for genetic epidemiology and mental health (PsychGen) opened in January 2023 and includes approx. 30 researchers, postdocs and PhD students.
